Africa Environmental Watch
Africa Environmental Watch is a Liberian 501c3 run by Liberian doctors and professionals focused on education and raising awareness regarding the many environmental challenges faced by the continent of Africa, with a focus on Western Africa and Liberia. The mission of the AEW is to create a safe, resilient and sustainable environment for Africa and its diaspora, fostering an environmentally-friendly future for the continent and its diverse peoples.An example of a project conducted by the AEW is their Environmental Awareness and Education program, raising awareness about climate change, clean water, and land degradation through global video campaigns and marketing efforts.
Youth Climate Change Initiative – Liberia
Youth Climate Change Initiative – Liberia (YCCI-Liberia) is a youth-led non-governmental institution that aims at combating Climate Change and reducing its effects in Liberia and the world at large. YCCI-Liberia links their climate change goals with key development challenges, such as poverty alleviation, agriculture, gender, health, education, economic growth, urbanization and migrations, and governance. As an organization, they aim to develop the capacity of young people as well as strengthening partnerships amongst youths in Liberia, primarily, and Africa at large.
