About Clean the World Foundation

Clean the World partners with over 8,000 properties around the world to collect and recycle soap and bottled amenities discarded by the hospitality industry for their Hotel Recycling Program.  These hygiene products are then donated to various charities and communities in need.  The foundation offers additional programs including WASH Education, Freshstart WASH and Wellness Program, Emergency Relief, WASH Microfinance, and Hygiene kits.

How Clean the World Foundation Works:

  • Hospitality company partners with and pays Clean the World for the Hotel Recycling Program
  • Clean the World gives them green and blue bins to discard products in (green for bars of soap and blue for bottled goods)
  • Once the bins are full, the hospitality company contacts Clean the World for pickup and they are sent new bins for more recycling
  • UPS provider picks up the bins
  • Soap is crushed up and ground, sanitized then made into a new bar of soap and stamped with Clean the World logo
  • Bottled goods are sorted so they can be used for hygiene kits
  • The recycled products are then distributed to charities and communities in need!
